ABS

Utilities to download and work with the Arch Build System (ABS) and build recipes (aka: PKGBUILDs).

Parabola does not filter nor distribute the ABS recipes nor tools. It it treated as a third-party package manager (TPPM) in FSDG terms; and like the AUR, it's use is discouraged. For example, the `abs` program, like pip, rubygems, and many others, allows downloading and installing software without licensing info (ie: possibly non-free). Those third-party repositories are outside the control of the Parabola team; and the FSDG has explicit prescriptions against repositories which lack clear licensing info or rigid libre licensing policies (eg: FSDG, DFSG, OSI, etc).

The ABS tools could have been (could still be) adapted to Parabola; but like most of the Arch tooling/infra, the custom Libretools (and AbsLibre) displaced ABS for Parabola, early on in Parabola's "legacy".
